Une soirée colorée!

Si je devais résumer en quelques lignes la soirée passée hier à bord d'idAction Mobile, je parlerai des belles rencontres, des sourires communicatifs, de l'engouement des personnes rencontrées pour le dessin, de la simplicité de ces beaux échanges. Arrivés au parc Atwater, un jeune homme s'approche et nous demande déjà quels sont les nouveaux livres que nous avons. Nous lui demandons quel genre de livre il souhaite lire, celui ci nous répond "Nevermind as long as it catches my eyes!" ("peu m'importe tant que ça capte mon attention"). Seulement quelques secondes et déjà deux livres prêtés! Youssef, médiateur de la soirée, trace au sol des énigmes, de nombreux passants s'arrêtent, intrigués, et se lancent le défi de résoudre ces énigmes!  

 

 

 

 

Alors que nous allons à la rencontre des itinérants dans le parc, trois femmes nous écrivent de petits messages!  

 

 

Les carnets à dessin ont beaucoup de succès: Eva, une femme au sourire rayonnant entourée de deux compères, demande si elle peut avoir toutes les couleurs! "Que vas tu dessiner?" lui demande Youssef "toi!" répond Eva les yeux pétillants de malice. Une belle discussion s'en suit autour des dessins réalisés, Eva se montre très enthousiaste à l'idée de pouvoir envoyer du courrier et sa photo à sa famille, dans le nord! Elle nous apprend même quelques mots de sa langue natale! Nous la quittons sur ces mots bouleversants "You guys are so cool! Thanks for talking to me! today I felt completely alone! Nobody talked to me!" ("Merci de parler avec moi! Aujourd'hui je me sentais complètement seule, personne ne me parlait").  

 

 

Nous prenons la route de l'Eglise St James, où Youssef a rendez vous avec Champagne pour lui apporter un kit de géométrie: compas, règles, etc. Déjà deux carnets remplis par le jeune homme ("tu vois que tes cahiers servent à quelque chose!"), qui nous confie adorer l'Egypte... Lecteurs, l'appel est lancé, nous cherchons un livre d'image de l'Egypte!  

 

 

Deux autres jeunes empruntent 5 livres, bandes dessinées et mangas. Ils connaissent déjà le fonctionnement "On vous les ramène, et on en emprunte d'autres!" idAction Mobile s'équipe pour l'automne! Bientôt à bord, nous aurons internet, une imprimante, ainsi que des projections audiovisuelles! Nous recherchons toujours activement des livres et bandes dessinées en anglais et en français!
