Nadine St-Louis, nouvelle administratrice au CA

Nadine St-Louis est une entrepreneure autochtone de souche Mi'kmaq, acadienne et écossaise qui oeuvre à réconcilier les multiples souches qui ont créé le Québec et le Canada d’aujourd’hui.

Elle détient une maîtrise en arts et en histoire de l’art de l’Université de Montréal depuis 1997 et est sur le point de compléter un diplôme d'études supérieures spécialisées en gestion d’organismes culturels de HEC Montréal. Forte de 25 années d’expérience en gestion de l’art et membre du collectif des conservateurs autochtones (CCA/ACC), Nadine St-Louis consacre ses efforts à promouvoir et à diffuser la culture autochtone en milieu urbain.

Entrepreneure, gestionnaire (Canadien National), formatrice, coach, conférencière, consultante en art autochtone (Conseil des arts du Canada), organisatrice de symposiums culturels (Institut Tshakapesh), agent d’artistes (Exposition 11 Nations, marché Bonsecours, Montréal), ainsi qu'artisane de cuir et pèrlage, Nadine St-Louis endosse de multiples fonctions et un riche parcours professionnel.. Elle est une femme reconnue pour son leadership et ses efforts pour l’inclusion sociale et la mise en avant des talents des artistes autochtones (surtout ceux situés en régions éloignées), des jeunes artistes qui intègrent les centres urbains et qui forment la relève, ainsi que ceux qui vivent en ville. Elle est fondatrice et directrice générale des Productions Feux Sacrés, un organisme à but non lucratif situé à Montréal permettant aux artistes autochtones d’avoir accès aux marchés de l’art et de retrouver un équilibre dans une économie culturelle. En 2015, Nadine St-Louis a mis en application ses connaissances en gestion et a lancé l’Espace Culturel Ashukan, une infrastructure permanente située sur la place Jacques Cartier dans le Vieux-Montréal. Elle y a développé un modèle d’affaire innovant pour professionnaliser et accompagner les artistes autochtones québécois et canadiens.

Nadine St-Louis est à la fois un agent de sensibilisation après des milieux économique et culturel à Montréal, mais aussi un vecteur de développement auprès des artistes autochtones qui veulent participer au rayonnement de l’art actuel québécois, canadien et international.
