idAction Mobile s'installe au P.A.S de la Rue

Lundi 15 juillet, 13h, Véronique Guay, étudiante en travail social et bénévole depuis un an me retrouve à Exeko. Cela fait près d'un an depuis sa dernière sortie à bord d'idAction Mobile, et pourtant, la souriante demoiselle n'a pas quitté des yeux et du cœur l'organisme et le projet. Aussi, lorsque j'annonce que je cherche une bénévole référente pour l'ouverture d'une nouvelle bibliothèque relais de idAction Mobile, elle saute sur l'occasion pour remettre la main à la pâte.
 
Après une mise à jour sur idAction Mobile, impliquant tous les nouveaux services proposés à bord, les équipes, etc, nous nous attelons à la tâche. En temps que référente, Véronique balaye des yeux les livres soigneusement étiquetés et classés par d'autres bénévoles et, minutieusement, elle constitue les premières caisses qui serviront à ouvrir la bibliothèque. Du bout des doigts elle parcourt les tranches des petits trésors que nous avons recu dernièrement : certains sont neufs, d'autres semblent avoir vécu de belles aventures entre les mains de leurs précédents lecteurs.
 
Une fois nos 4 caisses prêtes nous prenons la direction du P.A.S de la rue, un organisme de soutien aux personnes de 55 ans et plus sans abri ou en situation de grande pauvreté. Les participants sont affairés : certains discutent, d'autres jouent aux cartes. Nous déballons les boites sur une longue table, les remplissant aussitôt des livres déjà présents, pour les estampiller aux couleurs du projet.

Après une courte présentation du projet, je note que la configuration de la salle a changé : une dizaine d'hommes s'activent à présent autour de la table, découvrant les ouvrages qui y sont disposés. Manon, préposée à l'accueil, témoigne : "De mettre les livres pèle-mèle sur la table a créé une effervescence". Quelques requêtes sont formulées, et Noémie, intervenante du P.A.S de la Rue propose à Yvon de les consigner ensemble sur la feuille prévue à cet effet. " un Roman sur la Guerre de Sécession  mais celle des Américains hein!!C'est vraiment important!!". Yvon demande des romans policiers : il en tient déjà un sous le bras, ravi. "Il y a autre chose que j'aimerais lire", confie t il, non sans une pointe de timidité et de gène. "Mais c'est un truc pour les enfants..." hésite t il. Je l'encourage. " C'est la Légende de Zorro!" m'explique t il. Sitôt dit, sitôt consigné. Lecteurs, nous sommes donc à sa recherche!

Nous repartons ravies, remerciées par les participants, qui, pour certains, ont déjà le nez plongé dans leurs trouvailles. Je recois quelques heures plus tard un message de Noémie : "Vos livres font jaser, c'est parfait!". Mission accomplie donc!
 
Voilà déjà quelques jours que la bibliothèque idAction Mobile a fait son entrée au P.A.S de la Rue, et Manon nous livre ses observations: "Denis, qui n'a pas lu depuis longtemps achève son roman Le ménage rouge". Il dit "ça me dit occupé, l'intrigue est bonne!"
