Métissages Urbains accueille des artistes en résidence dans notre espace commun : la rue. Pour l’édition 2023, notre résidence se déroulera à bord d’IdAction Mobile, notre caravane de médiation philosophique et culturelle dans le secteur du Pôle Frontenac.

Accompagné.es de médiateurices de notre équipe, l’artiste choisi.e sera invité à réaliser une ou plusieurs oeuvres en co-création avec des participant.e.s dans le cadre de rencontres éphémères à proximité du métro Frontenac, de la Maison de la Culture Janine-Sutto, du Centre Jean-Claude Malépart et du parc Médéric-Martin.

 

Qui sommes-nous?

Exeko est un organisme d’innovation sociale, basé à Montréal depuis 2006. Nous utilisons la créativité et la philosophie pour favoriser l’inclusion sociale de personnes en situation de ou à risque d’exclusion. Notre approche reconnaît avant tout le potentiel de chacun à réfléchir, analyser, agir, créer et être partie prenante de la société, quels que soient sa situation ou son parcours.

Nos approches, au croisement des médiations intellectuelles, culturelles et sociales, visent à créer des espaces égalitaires de réflexion collective à travers l’organisation d’ateliers critiques (analyse, philosophie), créatifs (arts visuels, sonores et numériques) ainsi que des sorties culturelles avec les participant.e.s.

 

Profil des candidat.e.s

Nous recherchons un ou une artiste dont la démarche artistique s’inscrit en cohérence avec notre mission et qui possède une expérience significative de collaboration avec des communautés en situation ou à risque d’exclusion.

La nature du projet proposé devra être flexible et en mesure de s’adapter aux participant.e.s de même qu’au contexte de création.

Toutes les disciplines sont les bienvenues.

 

Modalités de réalisation

Le projet doit tenir compte des modalités de réalisation suivantes:

  • Le projet proposé doit être un projet de co-création facilitant les rencontres improbables et les échanges entre citoyens et citoyennes. 
  • La résidence aura lieu au cours des mois d’août et septembre 
  • Le cachet est de 3000$. 
  • Une enveloppe pouvant aller jusqu’à 1000$ est également disponible pour l’achat de matériel (sous présentation de reçus).
  • Le projet doit se réaliser lors de 8 sorties de création de 2 à 4h chacune.
  • Les sorties ont lieu à bord de la caravane idAction Mobile, dans l’espace public 

Afin de bien mener à terme ce projet, Exeko s’engage à fournir à l’artistes sélectionné.e les éléments suivants:

  • Un jumelage avec une équipe de médiateurice
  • L’initiation à la médiation intellectuelle
  • Des séances de travail avec l’équipe de médiation afin d’affiner le projet, définir l’échéancier et les stratégies de réalisation à mettre en place
  • Deux observations sur le terrain à bord d’IdAction Mobile, afin de mieux comprendre les réalités du terrain.
  • Un support à la coordination et à la logistique du projet
  • Soutien au développement du projet et à sa diffusion

Votre dossier devra contenir:

  • Le Formulaire de candidature rempli et en format PDF - téléchargable à la fin de l'article.
  • Tout autre document pouvant illustrer votre démarche artistique (portfolio, site web, images, vidéos, etc).  

Votre candidature sera évaluée par un jury composé notamment d’un.e artiste, de l’équipe de médiation d’Exeko et de participant.e.s à nos programmes.

Il y aura possiblement de courtes entrevues afin de vous rencontrer et de vous permettre de verbaliser votre démarche artistique ainsi que de faire quelques précisions à propos de votre projet. 

 

Critères de sélection

Voici les critères qui seront pris en considération par le jury lors de la sélection des dossiers:

  • Le caractère inclusif du projet 
  • Les impacts du projet
  • La place accordée aux participants dans le processus de création
  • L’ouverture de l’artiste à l’approche de médiation intellectuelle et le potentiel du projet à servir de tremplin à la réflexion
  • La faisabilité technique et financière du projet (logistique, transport, météo, matériel, échéancier).
