Trickster@Kahnawake: 3 minutes de toute cette magie

Jeudi après-midi, deuxième semaine à Kahnawake, silence complet dans la White House, lieu où sont donnés les ateliers Trickster. Jani a la musique en main, les yeux fixés vers l’endroit défini pour la scène et Alessia est parmi les enfants, fascinée par ce qui se déploie devant elle. Les deux médiatrices n’osent pas formuler un mot, un conseil, une directive…

 

Woodkid retentit dans l’espace, le temps s’est arrêté, tout semble au ralenti. À l’avant, deux frères se regardent et jouent au miroir en suivant la trame sonore imposée. Un suit l’autre avec une concentration surprenante, Entre eux, qu’ils se chamaillent ou s’entendent, un grand amour inconditionnel émane. Une danse guidée par le grand frère s’exécute de manière fluide. Toute une poésie du geste prend vie. Tous les adultes sur place sont sidérés, renversés de les voir collaborer dans une telle symbiose. L’exercice devant durer quelques secondes par équipe s’éternise. Jani, derrière la musique, ne se rend pas compte que les garçons sont en train de chorégraphier un trois minutes de chanson. Alessia semble vouloir rentrer dans le plancher tellement l’émotion la traverse.

L’audience n’existe plus, nous sommes voyeurs de cette grande complicité. Les enfants sont bouches bées et ne montrent aucun signe d’impatience ou désir de vouloir avoir leur tour… Ce qui est rare quand on travaille avec des 6 à 13 ans. Tout le monde s’entend pour dire que le moment est magique. Le cadet ne semble voir que son Aîné, faisant preuve de maîtrise, mais surtout de confiance. Assez rapidement, il est difficile de savoir qui est le meneur de ce jeu, puisqu’ils s’exécutent en même temps, comme si le plus jeune pouvait comprendre ce que l’autre voulait faire avant même qu’il ne lui propose.

 

Voyant la fin de la chanson arriver, Alessia murmure aux garçons de trouver une finale… Spontanément, le grand frère ouvre les bras et au lieu de l’imiter comme le jeu le veut, le plus jeune accepte le câlin. La musique s’arrête alors que les deux s’entrelacent.

 

 

Jeudi après-midi, deuxième semaine à Kahnawake, le silence règne dans la salle… Il s’agit d’un 3 minutes de la magie que font naître les enfants du projet Trickster. Encore 4 semaines à rencontrer le merveilleux imaginaire des jeunes du Drama Camp. Le temps permet d’explorer, de se laisser aller et laisser emporter par le temps qui passe. Doucement, l’équipe sur place, les enfants et le duo Trickster se dirigent vers la conception d’un spectacle basé sur la légende du Thunder Boy. Doucement et magiquement...
