Trickster: Arrivée à Nutashkuan

À peine deux jours après notre arrivée dans la chaleureuse communauté innue de Nutashkuan et nous avons déjà tellement de nouvelles!

Une quinzaine de jeunes du secondaire 1 participent aux sessions du projet Trickster dans le gymnase de l’École Uauitshitun. Ils sont très enthousiastes et toujours prêts à apprendre de nouveaux jeux, trucs de jonglerie et des acrobaties avec nos deux artiste-intervenants, Cyril Assathiany et Emmanuel Cyr. Une professeure est impressionnée par l’attitude des jeunes : "C’est très beau de les voir participer! Je suis vraiment ravie! "

Des ateliers découverte sont offerts aux jeunes du primaire afin qu’ils puissent découvrir le cirque, des techniques d’acrobatie et de jonglerie.
 
C’est avec Estelle Kaltush, la directrice de l’École Uauitshitun, que je suis allée découvrir la Radio Nutashkuan (le fil de nouvelles par excellence ici!) aujourd’hui pour y annoncer (en innu et en français) les grandes lignes du projet et, surtout, le spectacle des jeunes qui sera présenté dans une semaine devant la communauté. Cette radio communautaire est très efficace puisque un peu plus tard dans la journée, des intéressés venaient déjà me dire qu’ils avaient hâte de voir le spectacle!
 
Demain, nous aurons la visite d’une personne très inspirante ; une aînée, Adèle Bellefleur, viendra raconter un conte aux jeunes participants.
