Nouvelle mission humanitaire chirurgicale en Éthiopie

Exeko et Rotaplast International sont fiers d’annoncer le lancement d’une nouvelle mission humanitaire chirurgicale en Éthiopie prévue pour novembre 2008. L’annonce et le financement de cette nouvelle mission ont été récemment confirmés grâce au travail de documentation et de diffusion sur le dévouement de Rotaplast International réalisé par le photographe américain Wayne Schoenfeld et Exeko - Through This World But Once, l’exposition photographique, le livre et le film documentaire. Ethiopian Airlines se joint à cette mission en accordant 10 billets d’avion offerts aux équipes Rotaplast.
 
Depuis près de quinze ans maintenant, l’ONG Rotaplast International s’est donnée pour mandat d’éradiquer les conséquences du non-traitement du bec-de-lièvre chez les enfants dans les pays en voie de développement. Plus de 10 000 enfants ont pu jusqu’à ce jour bénéficier gratuitement d’un traitement et d’une opération chirurgicale.
 
« L’annonce de cette mission est la concrétisation de nos efforts de documentation et de soutien au dévouement incroyable des médecins et membres de Rotaplast International. Une chance incroyable de retrouver le peuple éthiopien que nous avons visité à deux reprises en novembre 2006 et février 2007, » a déclaré Nadia Duguay, directrice de projet et cofondatrice d’Exeko.
