Journée de formation et projet avec les jeunes de Kanehsatake

De belles équipes créatives d’artistes en vue des prochains groupes Trickster !

Plusieurs nouveaux départs en communautés sont prévus au cours des prochains mois grâce au soutien financier de Patrimoine Canadien. Un projet dans la communauté Mohawk de Kanehsatake est d’ailleurs en cours depuis début novembre en partenariat avec le Conseil de bande et se tient à l’École secondaire Ratihen:te avec un groupe de jeunes du secondaire 1 et 2!  

Dans le but d’enrichir et diversifier notre équipe Trickster, une journée de formation d’artiste-intervenants a eu lieu la semaine dernière.

Après un petit jeu d’ouverture et de présentation, échanges et partages se retrouvent au cœur de cette journée. Pour débuter, Widia Larivière, jeune femme Anishnabe et coordonnatrice jeunesse pour Femmes Autochtones du Québec, dresse un portrait socio-historique des Autochtones au Québec et de la diversité des réalités autochtones selon les contextes et les communautés.

Widia s'exprime sur l’importance du bien-être chez les jeunes autochtones : « Les enfants et les jeunes représentent près de la moitié de la population autochtone. Il est primordial de miser sur eux en les outillant et en développant leur estime de soi car ils sont des porteurs d’espoir pour l’avenir de nos peuples. Et ce n’est surtout pas le potentiel ni le talent qui leur manque. » Puis, Mélanie Lumsden, chargée de projets Trickster et membre de la nation Inuvialuit, a souligné l’importance de l’intégration de la sensibilité interculturelle comme étant au cœur de l’approche du projet.
 
Puis, Jani Greffe-Bélanger, coordinatrice terrain, entourée de Maxime Lee Larose et Emmanuel Cyr, artiste-intervenants, présentent tour à tour trois récits d’expérience en 8 images : Trickster@La Tuque, Trickster@Waswanipi et Trickster@Garden Hill. Ces témoignages ont d’autant mis en avant la multitude des approches et des enjeux qui font de chaque Trickster une expérience unique. De nombreux échanges avec les artistes ayant déjà une « expérience Trickster » permettent de sensibiliser les artistes venus assistés à la formation. François-Xavier Michaux  achève cette matinée par un panorama du rôle de l’artiste-intervenant dans le projet, le soutien dont il bénéficie et l’éthique dont il doit faire preuve.

Les jambes commencent à s’engourdir, la faim se fait ressentir… c’est l’heure d’une pause bien méritée autour d’un souper offert et partagé tous ensemble. Tout le monde reprend des forces car l’après-midi se veut active ! Par petits groupes, les artistes sont mis en situations concrètes. 
 
Plus qu’une simple audition, Jani, Maxime et Manu leur présentent les contextes, basés sur une situation vécue en communauté, l’objectif étant de tester la mise en œuvre et la compréhension des objectifs du programme. Sous le regard aiguisé d’observateurs tel que Jan-Rok, instigateur du cirque social au Québec, un temps est systématiquement accordé pour interroger et analyser ses pratiques, mettre en lumière ses actions positives et ses limites, partager des connaissances et savoir-faire.

Cette journée emplie de bonne humeur créative et de plaisir s’achève déjà. Nous remercions tous les artistes qui y ont participé, Widia Larivière de Femmes Autochtones du Québec, Jan-Rok et son œil aguerri ainsi que l’équipe d’Exeko qui a formidablement bien orchestré cette formation. On vous donne rendez-vous très prochainement pour des nouvelles fraîches sur le projet Trickster@Kanehsatake !
