En route vers Kitcisakik

Exeko vient de réaliser, en étroite collaboration avec Maxime Lee Larose, une nouvelle mission chez les Anicinapek de Kitcisakik en Abitibi-Témiscamingue, les 12 et 13 décembre dernier. Une équipe de prés de 10 artistes s’est joint à l’expédition : Maxime Lee Larose, Marie-Christine Simoneau, Cyril Assathiany, Chantal Simard, Rosalie Hudon, Philippe Thibaudeau, Elize Deguire, Jenny Ritchie et Kena Molina.
 
Le samedi, la mission s’est ouverte par une animation dans les rues de la communauté, puis un spectacle de prés de 90 minutes a été offert à la maison des jeunes. La journée de dimanche a été consacrée à une séance de conte interactif avec les jeunes, qui ont eu à cœur de revisiter ainsi des histoires traditionnelles de la communauté.
Échasses, clown, main à main, jonglerie, manipulation, acrobatie, musique, magie, … les artistes avaient plus d’un tour dans leur sac pour venir partager ces moments de plaisir avec les jeunes et les moins jeunes, et ainsi leur permettre de s’évader, ne serait ce que le temps d’un spectacle, des conditions de vie souvent difficiles dans la communauté.
Cette mission a aussi été l’occasion de discuter avec la communauté des possibilités de développer une collaboration à plus long terme par l’implantation de l’Effet Trickster, un programme d’intervention socioculturel récemment lancé par Exeko.
