Appel à projets pour les résidences artistiques de Métissages Urbains - (FERMÉ)

Cette année encore nous lançons les appels à projets pour les résidences artistiques estivales de Métissages Urbains ! Nous espérons rencontrer trois artistes qui acceptent de mener un projet de cocréation et de réflexion artistique, avec les gens rencontrés au fil du projet. Encore une fois ces résidences se feront en partie dans l’espace publique avec les passants et les passantes. Cette année une attention particulière est portée sur le fait d’inviter pour ces résidences un.e artiste autochtone et deux artistes souhaitant travailler avec les populations nouvellement arrivées, dans Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve et dans Montréal-Nord. On attend avec impatience les candidatures et les projets proposés !

Exeko est un organisme d’innovation sociale, basé à Montréal depuis 2006. Nous utilisons la créativité – l'art et la philosophie – pour l'inclusion sociale des personnes en situation ou à risque d’exclusion. Notre approche reconnaît avant tout le potentiel de chacun à réfléchir, analyser, agir, créer et être partie prenante de la société, quels que soient sa situation ou son parcours : nous présumons l’égalité des intelligences. Nous utilisons une approche fondée sur la médiation intellectuelle et culturelle. Cette démarche consiste à créer des espaces égalitaires de réflexion collective et de création à travers l’organisation d’ateliers et de projets avec nos participant.e.s.

Les 10 dernières années nous ont permis de faire reconnaitre le caractère innovant de nos approches et les impacts tangibles qu’ont générés les quelques 400 projets complétés auprès de près de 20 000 participant.e.s au Québec et au Canada. Avec l’appui et la collaboration de plus de 350 partenaires, nous sommes actuellement engagés dans le développement et la consolidation de l’organisme, avec pour objectif de démultiplier les impacts de nos actions.

Notre CA est un organe à la fois décisionnel, de contrôle, de conseil et d’accompagnement.  Il veille à assurer la pérennité de l’organisation et à préserver l’accès de celle-ci aux ressources humaines, matérielles et financières nécessaires à la réalisation de sa mission par la protection de sa crédibilité et de sa réputation.

Notre CA est actuellement composé de 9 administrateur.trice.s ; 2 sièges sont actuellement vacants et ouverts aux candidatures.

La parité homme-femme est indispensable dans la composition du conseil. Au moins 1 des 2 sièges actuellement vacants doit être comblé par une femme.

Qui plus est, notre organisation souhaite profondément renforcer une représentativité et une participation inclusive et diversifiée à son leadership et sa gouvernance. C’est à ce titre que nous prioriserons les candidatures issues de groupes de population en situation ou à risque d’exclusion, et habituellement sous représentées dans les instances de pouvoirs : Autochtones, personnes racisées, immigrant.e.s, LGBTQ+, personnes vivant avec un handicap ou une limitation fonctionnelle, etc.

The 2915 exhibition celebrates the 5-year anniversary of Métissages Urbains!

Exeko implemented the Métissages Urbains program with the idea to work on social transformation issues. This program facilitates encounters between artists and the community by using creativity and collaboration as a pretext to gather citizens from diverse backgrounds around common and accessible projects.

2915 is the total number of persons who took part in this program of collaborative creation in which professional artists and citizens join forces to produce works in various formats: video, audio, poetry, engraving, photography, painting, collage, installation, diary. 

In total, 20 recognized artists from Quebec and elsewhere are taking part to the event: Isabelle Anguita, Jani Bellefleur Kaltush, Soufia Bensaid, Floriane Davin, Stéphane Dionne, Suzanne Doucet, Marie-Pierre Gadoua, Elise Hardy, Emmanuelle Jacques, Emily Laliberté, Catherine Lalonde, Kiliane Olivier, Colleen Lashuk, Caroline Laplante, Aïda Lorrain, Alexandra Pastena, Frederic Peloquin, Lili Sohn, Guillaume Vermette and Anouk Verviers.

The 2915 exhibition demonstrates this process of inclusion. It is therefore meant to be interactive and offers multiple experiences.

The exhibition is free. Les Ateliers Jean Brillant will be open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from March 8 to 24.

L’exposition 2915 célèbre les 5 ans du programme Métissages Urbains d'Exeko

Métissages Urbains c'est quoi? Un programme de co-création où artistes professionnel.le.s et passant.e.s s'unissent pour donner naissance à des oeuvres de formes diverses : vidéo, audio, poésie, gravure, photographie, peinture, collage, installation, journal.

L'exposition rétrospective 2915 est envisagée de façon libre et vivante, comme un moment de partage entre les artistes, les participant.e.s et le public. Au total, 20 artistes reconnu.e.s du Québec, et aussi d’ailleurs, participent à l’événement: Isabelle Anguita, Jani Bellefleur Kaltush, Soufia Bensaid, Floriane Davin, Stéphane Dionne, Suzanne Doucet, Marie-Pierre Gadoua, Elise Hardy, Emmanuelle Jacques, Emily Laliberté, Catherine Lalonde, Kiliane Olivier, Colleen Lashuk, Caroline Laplante, Aïda Lorrain, Alexandra Pastena, Frederic Peloquin, Lili Sohn, Guillaume Vermette et Anouk Verviers.
