The Memory Box, le film, reçoit le prix “Mention Honorable” au 57e Festival International du Film et Video Columbus.
 

Les "Chris Statuettes", "Bronze Plaque" et "Mention Honorable" vont être présentés à la 57e cérémonie annuel de remise de prix, le 14 novembre au "Columbus College of Art & Design". La semaine de projection de films aura lieu du 10 au 15 novembre 2009.

Entre 2 arbres : 3 ateliers, 25 participants, 16 hamacs

Voici des nouvelles de Entre 2 Arbres après les journées de la culture!
 
À l'issu des journées de la culture, grâce aux 25 participants, lors de 3 ateliers, 7 hamacs sont complètement finis, 9 sont en route, ou presque fini!
 
Les participants ont pu effectuer toutes les étapes de fabrication d'un hamac fabriqué à partir de tissus provenant de rebuts de manufactures et apprendre à utiliser les machines à coudre industrielles. Bravo à tous!
 
Bonne nouvelle! Les hamacs commencés pourront être terminés durant les horaires des ateliers de couture Communautaire du Comité Social Centre Sud.
 
Ces premiers ateliers annoncent une série d'ateliers pour l'automne et l'hiver, à suivre...

Entre 2 arbres : ateliers de fabrication de Hamacs

Quatre ateliers de fabrication de hamacs Entre 2 Arbres auront lieu à l’atelier de couture du Comité Social Centre Sud, en partenariat avec Exeko et Matériaux pour les Arts Montréal.
 
Nous fabriquerons des hamacs à la machine à coudre, à partir de tissus provenant de rebuts industriels. Ces ateliers seront l’occasion de s’initier ou se perfectionner à la couture à la machine et de concevoir et réaliser un hamac solide et fonctionnel, de couleurs et de tailles différentes.
 
Les hamacs produits durant ces ateliers seront ultérieurement installés et utilisés lors d’une grande sieste pour la forêt.
 
Tout l’équipement nécessaire sera fourni sur place, chaque atelier peut contenir 10 personnes et aboutira à la création collective d’une dizaine de hamacs. Les enfants accompagnés sont les bienvenus à partir de 8 ans.
