In the heart of Montreal's Mile End, Espace Exeko offers professional and friendly workstations, along with shared facilities, at a very low cost, to people working in the creative and cultural economies. It is a common response to isolation and an alternative to the often unaffordable prices of commercial workspaces for freelancers and small organizations. Espace Exeko is based on coworking principles : one shares the same space, along with expertise, contacts, and contracts, with several workers and organizations, while benefiting from synergy and collaboration. Espace Exeko offers a vast and convivial atmosphere as it is set in a 2,000 sq ft loft, formerly an industrial space and now entirely renovated, with a gorgeous view over Montreal, from the Olympic Stadium to Parc Mont Royal. The Espace Exeko includes Exeko's offices and about fifteen freelancers and organizations whose activities include architecture, education, journalism, urban planning, humanitarian relief, community work, publishing, or ecology. |
