"L'éducation sera la prochaine révolution" - Participant idAction @Accueil Bonneau

L'Institut du Nouveau Monde (INM) lançait hier « Nous sommes démocratie, Plaidoyer pour la participation citoyenne », initiative soutenue par 100 acteurs engagés et personnalités publiques du Québec dont François-Xavier Michaux et Nadia Duguay, tous deux cofondateurs et co-directeurs d'Exeko.

Fruit de quatre grandes consultations lancées par l'institut en 2012 avec les professionnels de la participation citoyenne, le grand public, les participants de l’École d’été de l’INM et le conseil d’administration, ce plaidoyer «affirme l'importance d'investir au maximum les lieux où s'exerce le pouvoir. Il rappelle l'urgence de créer aussi souvent que possible des occasions pour que les citoyens puissent s'informer des enjeux collectifs, confronter leurs points de vue, proposer des solutions [...] » explique Miriam Fahmy, conseillère stratégique à l'INM.

« L'exercice éclairé du métier de citoyen est rigoureusement impossible sans une certaine connaissance », déclarait Platon dans Protagoras. Mais de quelle connaissance parle-t-on ? Celle de l'école ? Celle du travail ? Celle de la rue ? Celle des Aînés ? Parce qu'il existe une mutltitude de formes d'apprentissage et d'échange, il existe autant de façons d'exercer son rôle de citoyen.

C'est ainsi qu'à travers ses actions, Exeko s'attache à créer des situations égalitaires permettant de valoriser le potentiel individuel, favoriser l'analyse de la société, développer l'esprit critique et encourager les actions citoyennes.

Parce qu'au-delà du simple vote, nous croyons qu'exercer son rôle de citoyen prend plusieurs formes, se manifeste dans différents lieux, nous avons à cœur de soutenir et reconnaître les initiatives développées par les participants à nos programmes comme celles des nombreux bénévoles qui amènent chaque jour idées, regard neuf et vent de nouveauté. Avec toute l'humilité qu'il se doit, nous sommes heureux de voir naître et grandir des initiatives, accompagner et encourager des idées jusqu'à l'action, initier des réflexions collectives et participatives dans la société.

La musique, la danse, le langage du corps provoquent la rencontre de jeunes Autochtones participants d'idAction Mobile, notre caravane philosophique et culturelle, et d'artistes émergents issus de Tandem créatif , notre projet de médiation culturelle pour artistes ayant une déficience intellectuelle, lors d'une agora citoyenne au Festival TransAmérique.

Les participants des ateliers idAction @Accueil Bonneau réunis pour répondre à l'enjeu de toute démocratie : «Comment se faire entendre ?» ont organisé avec l'équipe de médiateurs un vox-pop dans les rues de Montréal.

Une réflexion ouverte et critique sur la notion du travail à travers les yeux et le vécu des participants d'idAction Mobile, sur le pouvoir avec les participants idAction @Maison du Père ou un sur la pertinence de l'Histoire pour comprendre les enjeux actuels.

Un film tourné par les participants de la Maison du Père, pour montrer les enjeux du quotidien et proposer des solutions concrètes sur l'itinérance.

Cultiver la pensée de jeunes leaders en herbe en entremêlant Trickster et idAction, un partenariat avec le Club des Petits Déjeuners.

La mixité et le lien social fruit d'un partage de l'espace public, la rue, les parcs, les métros, les trottoirs, à travers des actes créatifs de 100 en 1 jour ou des résidences artistiques mobiles telles Métissage Urbain ou l'actuelle Voies du Hasard.

Ateliers d'autodéfense intellectuelle, détection de manipulation du discours, théâtre-forum, jeux de rôles, la pensée critique s'incarne et s'exerce depuis Listiguj jusqu'au Lac-Simon.

Autant d'exemples inspirants qui mettent en lumière que le premier exercice de participation citoyenne, accessible à tous et pouvant être mis en œuvre, quelque soit le contexte, reste celui du regard : voir et reconnaître l'Autre comme un citoyen à part entière, quelque soit son milieu de vie, sa situation physique, sociale ou économique, son origine culturelle.
