Le Forum Jeunesse de l'Île de Montréal renouvelle son soutien à idAction Mobile !

Exeko était jeudi dernier doublement à l'honneur dans le cadre de l’Événement régional jeunesse 2014 organisé par le Forum Jeunesse de l'Île de Montréal.

Chaque année, près de 200 représentants d'organismes jeunesse et des jeunes montréalais se rencontrent, échangent et mettent en lumière des initiatives nouvelles et des pratiques émergentes dans une foule de secteurs d’activités (environnement, économie, social, pratiques innovantes).

Tout d’abord idAction Mobile, notre caravane philosophique et intellectuelle pour les Autochtones en situation d'itinérance à Montréal a reçu, pour une seconde fois, la confiance et le soutien financier du Forum Jeunesse de l'Île de Montréal et de la Conférence Régionale des Élus (CRÉ) dans le cadre du Fond Régional d'Investissement Jeunesse (FRIJ) ! Il y a deux ans déjà, le partenariat avec le FRIJ avait permis à idAction Mobile de voir le jour. Ce projet de proximité vise à stimuler, par le bais de la médiation, la curiosité intellectuelle de même que l’expression citoyenne et culturelle des personnes en situation d’itinérance et particulièrement des jeunes Autochtones. 4 fois par semaine, une équipe de médiateurs sillonne les rues de Montréal à bord d’une caravane et a rejoint à ce jour plus de 2000 personnes dont 1/3 de jeunes, leur permettant ainsi de développer et d’exercer leur citoyenneté au-delà de tout préjugé.

La soirée a été marquée également par l’élection d’Émilie Chabot, Directrice du développement et des projets spéciaux chez Exeko, en tant que représentante jeunesse du milieu sociocommunautaire, pour une durée de 2 ans. Elle aura ainsi l'opportunité de travailler en concertation avec 25 autres représentants d’organismes jeunesse montréalais afin de donner une place et une voix aux jeunes de la région à travers les avis, les projets, les représentations et les investissements initiés par le forum.

Le Forum jeunesse est un organisme de la Conférence Régionale des Élus (CRÉ) de Montréal qui a pour mission de représenter les organisations jeunesse de la région. Son Conseil des jeunes représentants élus est composé de 27 jeunes qui proviennent des milieux étudiant, socioéconomique, sociocommunautaire, des arts et de la culture, de l’environnement ainsi que des sports et loisirs. Il coordonne des projets, défend les intérêts et porte la voix des jeunes âgés de 12 à 30 ans. Le FJÎM inscrit son action politique dans un cadre non partisan. Le Forum jeunesse est soutenu financièrement par le Secrétariat à la jeunesse dans le cadre de la Stratégie d’action jeunesse 2009-2014.
